Youth Worker
South Manchester

  • Full time role (term time only) commencing in September 2019
  • Working hours : 8:45am - 3:15pm
  • Competitive pay rate - up to £1350+ per month
  • Introduction to a vibrant secondary school in South Manchester

Teaching Personnel are looking for an experienced Youth Worker to support pupils in our client school in South Manchester. The successful Youth Worker will work with pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis and will be assisting students with any needs they have, whether these are learning, SEN, behaviour or SEMH related.

This is an incredibly rewarding role as the successful Youth Worker will be working directly with students that require your support and you will see their development enhancing their learning experience throughout school. You will need to demonstrate a flexible working attitude to attend to the needs of each individual student, have empathy and compassion for students that need support in the areas of behaviour, social emotional mental health, autism and ADHD. We are looking for a passionate individual who is committed to transforming the lives of even the most disadvantaged students.

If you are currently working in the fields of Sport Coaching, Youth Work or Learning Support then you will have the transferable skills required to fulfil this role.

Successful applicants will possess a C or above in GCSE Maths and English

Our client school is a vibrant secondary school with just over 900 pupils on roll. The school is based in South Manchester and is located just a short drive from the city centre, easily accessible via public transport and Metrolinks.

The school has been nationally and locally recognised for its continuous improvement and received a positive Ofsted report that judged the school to be 'Good' in all areas. Due to a recent 11.6m investment, the school has excellent facilities throughout and is a welcoming and positive learning community.
