Youth Worker

Teaching Personnel are looking to appoint an experienced Youth Worker, to work within our client’s secondary school in Warrington. As a Youth worker you will be supporting a range of secondary school students with different academic abilities, in and out of the classroom. You will be utilising your specialist subject knowledge, by assisting students in lessons and on a one to one basis, helping them achieve their academic goals. You will get the opportunity to work within a number of roles as a Support Worker, such as:
• Special Educational Needs Roles
• One to one and small group tuition
• General class room assistance
• Behaviour support
• Supporting extra curriculum activities
The Youth Worker role
• Youth Worker, teacher assistant
• Full time role, working 08:15 – 15:15
• Supporting secondary school students within your specialist subject knowledge
• Competitive pay, paid on a weekly basis
• Secondary school located in Warrington
With the new academic year approaching, the Headteacher of our client’s secondary school is looking to add extra support for their students in September. This will give their students the best opportunity and start to the academic year. The Successful Youth Worker will be joining a cohesive group of staff that pride them selves with achieving high grades and producing high standards for their students.
The successful Youth Worker will;
• Have previous experience working within a secondary school
• Have a degree and a good knowledge of the main core subjects (Maths, English and Science)
• Be confident and outgoing
• Be able to commit to a full time Youth Worker role
• Want to pursue a career in Teaching Personnel
