Youth Worker – Full-Time (Temp) – Primary School in Bootle – Autumn Term Start

Location: Bootle (Linacre Area)
Start Date: September 2025 (Autumn Term)
Contract: Temporary, Full-Time (Term Time Only)
Hours: Monday to Friday
Pay: Competitive, weekly pay through Teaching Personnel

Are you passionate about supporting children’s emotional wellbeing and helping them thrive in their school journey?

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Bootle, Liverpool, who are looking to appoint a dedicated Youth Worker for a full-time, term-time role starting in September 2025.

The school serves a diverse and vibrant community, with a strong focus on pastoral care and nurturing every child’s personal development. Staff work closely with families to provide a safe, structured, and supportive environment where pupils can grow both academically and emotionally.

The Role:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils who may be struggling with behaviour, emotional regulation, or social interaction.

  • Build positive relationships with pupils to boost self-esteem, resilience, and engagement.

  • Support children with challenges linked to trauma, ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences), or SEMH (Social, Emotional, Mental Health) needs.

  • Work collaboratively with the school’s safeguarding and inclusion teams to create a nurturing and inclusive school environment.

  • Help promote positive behaviour strategies in line with the school's values.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience supporting young people or children in an education, youth work, or mentoring capacity.

  • A calm, empathetic and patient approach.

  • Able to set clear boundaries and build trust with vulnerable pupils.

  • Understanding of the needs of children from disadvantaged or complex backgrounds.

  • Any relevant training or qualifications in Youth Work, Behaviour Support, or Mental Health are desirable.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
