Youth Worker – Full-Time (Temp) – Primary School in Bootle – Autumn Term Start
Location: Bootle (Linacre Area)
Start Date: September 2025 (Autumn Term)
Contract: Temporary, Full-Time (Term Time Only)
Hours: Monday to Friday
Pay: Competitive, weekly pay through Teaching Personnel

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Bootle, Liverpool, who are looking to appoint a dedicated Youth Worker for a full-time, term-time role starting in September 2025.
The school serves a diverse and vibrant community, with a strong focus on pastoral care and nurturing every child’s personal development. Staff work closely with families to provide a safe, structured, and supportive environment where pupils can grow both academically and emotionally.
The Role:

Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils who may be struggling with behaviour, emotional regulation, or social interaction.

Build positive relationships with pupils to boost self-esteem, resilience, and engagement.

Support children with challenges linked to trauma, ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences), or SEMH (Social, Emotional, Mental Health) needs.

Work collaboratively with the school’s safeguarding and inclusion teams to create a nurturing and inclusive school environment.

Help promote positive behaviour strategies in line with the school's values.
The Ideal Candidate:
-
Experience supporting young people or children in an education, youth work, or mentoring capacity.
-
A calm, empathetic and patient approach.
-
Able to set clear boundaries and build trust with vulnerable pupils.
-
Understanding of the needs of children from disadvantaged or complex backgrounds.
-
Any relevant training or qualifications in Youth Work, Behaviour Support, or Mental Health are desirable.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
