Behaviour Mentor needed for Primary School in Wembley

  • ÂŁ55+ per day, depending on experience
  • Full-time position, term time only
  • Access to additional training courses such as Autism Awareness

Are you equipped with the necessary skills and experience to work with children who have challenging behaviour? If yes, then we want to hear from you!

A client school in Wembley are currently recruiting a behaviour mentor who is available to hit the ground running in September. You will be working on a 1:1 basis supporting a pupil in year 3 who has challenging behaviour. You will be required to monitor and track the pupils progress and provide feedback to the SENCO and to their parents. This role also involves motivating and encouraging the pupil to participate in classroom activities in a manner that does not distract their peers. Also, you will need to have excellent interpersonal skills in order to build a rapport with the student.

This is a multi-cultural school that is located a short distance away from the famous landmark Wembley Stadium. It is a large three-form entry school that thrives itself on delivering high quality lessons that enable the children to go above and beyond their expected targets.

The ideal candidate:

*At least 6 months experience providing 1:1 support to pupils with challenging behaviour or SEN

*Excellent listening and communication skills

*Comes from a mentoring background

*A psychology degree would be preferred but not necessary

*A valid DBS that is registered on the update service or willing to complete an application
