Year 6 Teaching Assistant

Pay rate: £325 - £375
A Primary School located in Weymouth are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Support Assistant to join their team. The role is to start after the Easter holidays and is to work as a Support Assistant in the Year 6 Class until the end of the academic year, with a view of becoming a permanent member of staff. You will be working alongside the very experienced Class Teacher by helping to reduce unnecessary workload with general Teaching Assistant roles e.g., photocopying, display work, good behaviour management, play time cover etc. and to also work within the Year 6 Class, delivering high quality Maths and English Interventions to raise the children’s attainment gearing up for the Year 6 SATs. The role is full-time Monday - Friday 8:30am - 3:30pm.
You will be required to work with all abilities and be able to differentiate your Teaching methods to suit all needs. The successful Practitioner must acquire a Level 2 or above in Teaching and Learning or equivalent and must have had more than 3 years experience working in schools with a broad knowledge of working in KS2.
The Head teacher is looking for the following
- Level 2 or above qualification
- An experienced KS2 Practitioner
- Confident with delivering engaging interventions
- Ability to work independently or part of a team
- Good behaviour management techniques
- Ability to work well within a team to ensure progress for pupils

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
