Year 6 SEN teaching assistant and behaviour mentor - Hounslow - full time - £60 to £80 per day

At Teaching Personnel we are currently recruiting for a full time teaching assistant to work within a year 6 class. They are looking for a passionate and experienced member of staff to get stuck in with their busy September.

The school?

This three form entry school has recently undergone a range of internal changes, including merging their infant and juniors school. The schools worked closely together to maintain a standard of behaviour and educational expectations, they are working to provide a high standard of education across all year groups and classes. The evolving school has placed a focus around creating a positive and happy learning environment - creating a place for students to express their interests/hobbies through their learning.

As they are looking for a member of staff to join their KS2 class they are ideally looking for an experienced member of staff with a strong knowledge of the year 6 curriculum.

The role?

This full time position will involve working as a special educational needs teaching assistant to a number of students within the class, working with them on a one to one and group basis. This will include aiding their preparation towards their SATs examinations. Throughout the afternoons they will be working as a behaviour mentor, working closely with a number of students who require additional support within the classroom.

The school are looking for someone to be hands on and experienced with dealing with a number of different behaviours and situations.
