Year 6 teaching assistant - experienced with ASC

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a teaching assistant to work with a year 6 pupil with autism and associated behavioural difficulties.

About the role:

The position available support a student with a variety of needs. Autism and associated behavioural difficulties are some of the needs that will need supporting.

This role will require you to:

  • Provide 1:1 support to a pupil and delivering intervention sessions to improve pupil attainment
  • Observe and monitor pupil progression
  • Ensure that the pupil interacts appropriately with their peers and adults
  • Provide feedback to parents and other members of staff

About the school:

With it being a community focused school all of their members of staff and senior leadership teams provide support and guidance to all new members of staff.

Based in Southall, it is a 12 minute bus journey away from Southall station and is connected by multiple train lines including the 105.

The ideal candidate:

  • At least 3 months experience working with children with special educational needs
  • At least 3 months classroom based experience
  • Good spoke and written English
  • A valid DBS that is registered on the update service or willing to complete an application
