Intervention Specialist Teacher Required

  • Opportunity to raise attainment in Key Stage 2
  • Create learning programs to help specific learners improve in Numeracy and Literacy

Teaching Personnel we have had a request from a school in Sefton for an experienced Teacher to work with learners on Numeracy and Literacy Interventions, working with low ability pupils to create specific learning programs to help progress attainment levels throughout the school.

The school is rated as ‘Good’ by Ofsted where pupils meet the national average in attainment in Numeracy and Literacy in Key Stage 2. However the Headteacher is looking for someone to work with a low ability group to ensure they make the expected progress throughout year 6.

The Headteacher’s dedication and vision to continually improve the work of the school is fully shared by leaders, governors and staff. The whole school are firmly committed to this very clear vision, and are successful in their aim to provide equal opportunities for every pupil to make good or better progress in a secure, happy environment.

The school are looking for a Teacher who;

Has relevant and suitable experience working on Interventions

Has a genuine passion and desire to raise pupil attainment and progress pupils learning

Can create learning programs to help specific learners improve in Numeracy and Literacy tracking progress

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
