Teaching Personnel is delighted to announce their Catholic Schools Recruitment Partnership with Liverpool Archdiocese. The Archdiocese has a network of 227 schools and colleges across 8 local education authorities. Teaching Personnel are working closely with a Catholic client school that are looking to recruit a Year 5 Teacher to start as soon as possible. The Year 5 Teacher position will be until July 2018 with the possibility of another role in the school in September 2018. The school is a smaller than average, Primary school based in central Liverpool.
It was graded 'Inadequate' in its last Ofsted report, a legacy of weak leadership has left behind an environment which currently does not support high-quality learning. However with a new Headteacher and a new vision of providing staff with access to high-quality training to develop their practice. He is hoping to improve the school quickly.
The school is a caring community. Parents say that 'teachers go the extra mile to welcome new pupils and settle them into school'. The Year 5 class consists of 26 pupils from varying backgrounds and mixed ability. The class is highly populated with EAL pupils with levels of over 60%. The head is looking for a Key Stage 2 specialist who has had at least 12 months experience in the last 2 years within Year 5 or 6, to accelerate learning in an underperforming year group.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
