My client is an SEN school supporting pupils with social, emotional and mental health difficulties (SEMH) and social communication difficulties. Located in the Maidstone area the school currently supports approximately 200 pupils across all key stages.

The school are seeking to appoint a dynamic and creative Key Stage 2 Teacher who is an excellent classroom practitioner. Candidates must be resourceful, positive and motivated with a good sense of humour; you will also have the ability to organise, inspire and motivate young people with special educational needs and social, emotional and mental health difficulties.

This post will require the following skills:

•Good curriculum knowledge and an ability to plan creatively for pupils who require personalised learning.

•Excellent interpersonal skills as this post will require significant collaborative working with teaching colleagues, parents and multi-agency providers.

•Some experience and enthusiasm for working with pupils with behaviour and social communication difficulties and ASC.

•Commitment to undertake continuing professional development.

•Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.

•Strong emotional resilience.

•Empathy and understanding towards young people.
