Year 4 Teaching Assistant - 1:1 Support

We are currently working alongside a lovely school in the central Preston area who use Teaching Personnel exclusively for their staffing needs. This school holds an excellent reputation in the area and the children generally speaking display exemplary behaviour.

The Headteacher of this school is looking for an inspirational Teaching Assistant to support a young boy within their Y4 class. The young boy has been at the school since he was in Reception and recently has started displaying challenging behaviours. The young boy is academic and is working in line with age related expectations. The school have received additional funding to support the young boy on a full time basis and they are hoping to identify trigger points and de-escalate effectively. The sucessful candidate will be offered Team Teach training.

The successful candidate must be a good listener, have a calm manner, and be able to implement effective strategies to build a strong rapport with the child. The ideal candidate will have worked with children either in small groups on a 1:1 basis previously. The working hours for this role are 8:45-3:15 and this would include lunch duties, there will be a 30 minute lunch break. This school is located off the main road however it is easily accessible using public transport links.

Essential: To be considered for this role, you must have a relevant Level 2 or Level 3 childcare related or Teaching Assistant qualification.
