The School

The school is a two form entry school located just outside of Watford in Borehamwood. In addition to the main school there is a nursery on site and a Primary Support Base which provides additional support for pupils with emotional and behavioural difficulties in their school and also surrounding primary schools. Within the community they are well respected as they strive to ensure that are pupils are happy and have every opportunity to achieve academic success. Alongside academic success, the school also celebrates and encourages extra curriculum activities varying from music to sports.

The Candidate

The right candidate will have QTS and experience teaching either a year 3 or year 4 classes. This is a part time role where you will be sharing the role with a class room teacher who is currently studying for master's degree. Combined with these competencies, the school is especially interested in individuals who are able to show that they are: enthusiastic about teaching, have a contagious positive attitude and the ability to plan engaging lessons.

The Role

The successful candidate will be leading a class with pupils of varying abilities and will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for ensuring that curriculum guidelines are adhered to and marked work is completed in a timely manner. Equally as important would be creating a clean and safe environment for pupils where the ideal teacher becomes a role model for their students.
