Job description

Qualified Primary Teacher – Year 3 (Newcastle-under-Lyme, ST5)
Start: ASAP | Full-time | Long-term

We’re working with a vibrant and nurturing primary school in Newcastle-under-Lyme (ST5) that is seeking a qualified Year 3 teacher to join their team as soon as possible.

The school is part of a big Multi Academy Trust and places children firmly at the heart of everything they do. It is a caring, inclusive environment where staff work closely with families to help every child thrive — academically, socially and emotionally.

The school also has an on-site Nursery and Reception unit, providing a strong foundation for learning through a play-based EYFS curriculum. This commitment to high-quality Early Years education creates a smooth and supportive transition as children move through the school.

As a Year 3 teacher, you’ll be part of a forward-thinking team, delivering an engaging and creative curriculum that builds on the early foundations set in EYFS and Key Stage 1.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)

  • Have recent experience in Key Stage 2 (Year 3 preferred)

  • Be passionate about pupil progress and inclusive teaching

  • Create a supportive, stimulating learning environment

  • Work effectively as part of a team and with families

With fantastic facilities including Forest School, a cookery room, and even a school radio station, this is a great opportunity to join a school that offers far more than the basics.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQ’s on the Teaching Personnel website for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.

We undertake safeguarding checks on all workers in accordance with DfE statutory guidance ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ this may also include an online search as part of our due diligence on shortlisted applicants.
