Permanent Reception Teacher – B49 / Alcester

Teaching Personnel’s West Midlands Primary branch is currently recruiting for a Reception Class Teacher for a full-time, permanent role in a mainstream primary school located in the B49 area. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive team and contribute to an engaging and nurturing learning environment.

About the Role:

This is a full-time, permanent position teaching in the Reception year group. The successful candidate will:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, age-appropriate lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.

  • Foster a positive, stimulating classroom environment where every child feels safe, valued, and inspired to learn.

  • Monitor, assess, and record pupils’ progress to inform future planning and ensure children reach their developmental milestones.

  • Work closely with support staff, parents, and school leadership to ensure the best outcomes for all pupils.

  • Uphold school policies, including safeguarding and behaviour management procedures.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A qualified teacher with QTS (achieved via a Degree with QTS, PGCE, or SCITT).

  • Proven experience in an EYFS setting, ideally in a Reception class.

  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and effective classroom management skills.

  • A nurturing, creative, and adaptable approach to teaching.

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Essential Requirements:

  • QTS and eligibility to work in the UK.

  • Recent references confirming classroom teaching experience, ideally in EYFS.

  • A clear and enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one through us).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
