Year 6 Literacy and Numeracy Intervention Teacher Required for the Autumn Term

  • To work in small groups and one to one with Year 6 pupils to develop their Literacy and Numeracy
  • A vibrant and developing Catholic School based in the County Durham region
  • Competitive pay and part time working hours

We require a highly driven and focused KS2 Teacher to provide Literacy and Numeracy Intervention to Year 6 pupils on a part time basis. The school are looking for someone who can work 3 afternoons per week leading up to the SATS. The ideal candidate will have experience of teaching intervention and will be committed to providing Year 6 pupils with a stimulating, well structured learning environment, encouraging them to engage and achieve in their education. You will be able to successfully differentiate your skills to suit the needs of every pupil. Experience in Year 6 SATs with proven successful levels of attainment is highly desired. There are high levels of SEN and EAL within the school therefore knowledge within this area would also be beneficial.

The School is a Catholic School based in the County Durham area and as Teaching Personnel have an exclusive partnership with the Hexham and Newcastle Diocese we have been working closely with the school for the past year. The school is a vibrant and welcoming place of work, although it has been Ofsted Inspected as ‘Requires Improvement’ it has come a long way with new senior leadership and a new structure in place.
