About the Role: As a Year 2 Teacher, you will play a crucial role in preparing students for the next stage of their academic journey. You will deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that build on the foundations laid in Key Stage 1, while also preparing students for the challenges and opportunities of Key Stage 2. Your passion for teaching and dedication to student success will empower our Year 2 students to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver dynamic lessons aligned with the Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 curriculum
  • Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to support the development of key skills in literacy, numeracy, and other subject areas
  • Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor progress and identify areas for intervention and extension
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued and empowered to learn
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external stakeholders to support student progress and well-being

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2, preferably in a primary school setting
  • Strong understanding of the Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 curriculum and assessment frameworks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
