Year 2 Teacher

We're seeking a dedicated Year 2 Teacher to join our vibrant Islington Primary School starting September 2024. As the lead educator for a class of 30 enthusiastic children, you'll play a pivotal role in fostering their academic growth and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and fosters a love for learning.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to drive improvement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and parents to ensure each child reaches their full potential.
  • Uphold the school's values and ethos, promoting a culture of respect, kindness, and excellence.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with Key Stage 1 children, preferably in a primary school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • A passion for education and a commitment to continuous professional development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
