Year 1 Teacher

- Competitive rates, GBP100 - GBP160 per day
Teaching Personnel are currently working in partnership with a ‘Good’ Bacup based primary school to appoint a high calibre Year 1 Teacher. The role is currently to run from November for the rest of the academic year, with the view for the right person to be made permanent hereafter. The school is easily accessible by both car and public transport and accommodates for a diverse catchment of pupils broadly ranging in abilities. Behaviour at the school is generally good, but the Head Teacher considers it of the up most importance that the successful practitioner be capable and confident in consistently implementing their well supported behavioural policy.
As a teacher in this school you would be required to:
- Plan and deliver engaging and innovative lessons of an excellent standard, derived from a sound knowledge of the national curriculum and phonics schemes.
- Address gaps in learning due to school closures and aid the children in their reintegration to school life.
- Consistently implement the school’s strong behavioural strategy with confidence as to enforce high standards towards learning and the classroom environment.
- Approach day to day work with enthusiasm, a can-do attitude, and a clear will to better yourself.

The wider team possess a wealth of experience and are more than happy to help any new practitioner settle into the school. You would also be assisted by a full time Teaching Assistant who has worked at the school for a number of years and is familiar with the structure of the school day and other relevant policies. The Head Teacher is willing to consider both experienced and newly qualified teachers, but recent classroom experience and excellent references are a necessity.
