Year 1 School teacher

Location: Ealing

Start date: ASAP

Contract type: full-time

The school:

The school is based in the heart of Ealing, easily accessed from Ealing Broadway. The importance of diversity and inclusion has been highlighted over the years within the school. It has become apparent that the cultural differences has added to create pupils with a great level of patience and understanding to each other. With the rise in pupils with SEN and EAL needs pupils are accustom to individual differences, learning to take pride in what they have to offer.

As a school they have derived a mentality that will highlight these differences, teaching classes about a variety of countries, religions and backgrounds. Therefore the school is looking for a member of staff to contribute and push to support these values. As part of a large school there is a supportive senior management team - with the opportunity to progress and take on a variety of responsibilities.

Being based near Ealing Broadway the school is easily accessible by numerous train and bus services, it is minute 14 minute walk from Ealing Broadway station and is connected by the bus services such as the E2 or E9.

About the role:

This is a full-time classroom role in year 1. You will be expected to prepare the learning resources and materials, work closely with your colleagues to prepare and plan lessons in accordance to the national curriculum. Track pupil's attainment and provide feedback.

The ideal candidate:

  • Newly qualified teach or fully qualified teacher status
  • At least 1 years experience teaching in key stage 1
  • Excellent classroom management skills
  • Sound knowledge of the national curriculum
  • Personable, charismatic and able to work well in a team
  • A valid DBS that is registered on the update service or willing to complete an application
  • A proven track record of raising pupil attainment
