Full-Time Welsh-Speaking Teaching Assistant (RCT Area)
Location: Rhondda Cynon Taf, South Wales
Salary: £89.38 per day

We’re looking for a dedicated and adaptable Teaching Assistant to work across a variety of schools in the RCT area. This role requires someone who can drive, has access to their own vehicle, and is willing to travel between different school settings.

About the Role
As a Welsh-speaking Teaching Assistant, you will:
• Support teaching and learning across KS3 and KS4 (and KS5 where applicable)
• Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils, including those with Additional Learning Needs (ALN)
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
• Assist teachers with lesson preparation, classroom management, and pupil assessments
• Work collaboratively with teachers, pupils, and the wider school community
Who Can Apply?
We welcome applications from individuals who:
• Are fluent in Welsh (spoken and written)
• Have previous experience working with children or young people (school-based preferred)
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Are flexible, proactive, and willing to travel across multiple school sites
Requirements
Teaching Personnel can guide you to obtain the following:
• Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
• Two recent professional references

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
