Well-Being/Sports Coach

  • GBP72/day pay rate
  • Full time, long term position with the potential to become permanent

PROGRAMME

The EISS will deliver a bespoke activity programme offering a broad range of diverse physical activities to try and engage the widest range of young people. Delivered into secondary schools offering groups of students a weekly session with a Well Being Coach who will not only support the physical activity in each session, but who will also deliver on the learning objectives which are based around the promotion of good mental health and wellbeing, building relationships and communication skills.

Physical Activity Programme

Basketball, Kickboxing, Table Tennis, Frisbee Golf, Gardening, Scavenger Hunt, Drama Games, Drama Movement sessions

Location: Secondary Schools across Kingston and Richmond 

  • Capacity - 12 students per session
  • Offer to 5 secondary schools per term
  • Potential to reach 120 pupils each week
  • 1-2 sessions per school per week
  • The Well Being Coach will provide a written report for each session

This would be delivered to a group of secondary aged students who have been identified by their school as being impacted by isolation, having difficulty with relationships and or who are undergoing challenging periods in their lives. The programme will aim to have a positive impact on their social emotional mental health. Our focus will be around those young people who disengage from education and/or have negative role models in their life/isolated from positive influences.

KEY SKILLS

Excellent communicator

Prior experience working with 'hard to reach' children/young people

Sports knowledge and passion

Able to work successfully with groups of young people and manage their behaviour

Be able to write reports using Google sheets (training provided if necessary)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
