Job description

Secondary Tutor – Nottinghamshire (NG12 3JG)

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Secondary Tutor to provide high-quality 1:1 tuition to students across Nottinghamshire (NG12 3JG). This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young people’s academic progress, confidence, and overall development during their secondary education.


The Role

As a Secondary Tutor, you will:

  • Deliver personalised 1:1 tuition across core secondary subjects (e.g. Maths, English, Science or Humanities)

  • Plan and deliver engaging, structured sessions tailored to individual learning needs

  • Support students in closing learning gaps and preparing for GCSEs where appropriate

  • Build confidence, resilience, and positive learning behaviours

  • Adapt teaching strategies to suit a range of abilities and learning styles


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience teaching or tutoring at secondary level

  • Strong subject knowledge relevant to KS3 and/or KS4

  • The ability to plan and deliver engaging, effective sessions

  • Excellent communication skills and a patient, supportive approach

  • A genuine commitment to helping young people reach their full potential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
