Welfare Assistant required for SEN School in Blackburn

A school in Blackburn are urgently seeking welfare Assistants to work every day, 11:30am - 1:30pm.

The school caters for pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties, Severe Learning Difficulties, Physical Disabilities, Speech, Language and Communication Difficulties and Autism, aged between 4-19. You must therefore be comfortable in supporting students of all ages and you must be willing to provide personal care.

The role could be an excellent way of getting your 'foot in the door' in an Outstanding SEN School who have been known to take our candidates on, on a permanent basis. These part-time roles could also lead to further work as the school are always busy for day-to-day bookings!

Due to the school catering for vulnerable adults, you must have a Child and Adult Workforce DBS in order to be considered. If you do not have this particular check, we are able to process a DBS for you, at a cost of £44.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
