Unqualified Teachers/Cover Supervisors - Derby and Derbyshire

Would you like to gain experience working as an unqualified teacher within a secondary school setting, covering lessons, or supporting students in a Teaching Assistant capacity?

Teaching Personnel are working alongside several schools in Derby and Derbyshire, aiding them in recruiting new staff to join their team of welcoming staff from September/October 2019.

• Contracted full time and part-time (3-5 days per week) roles starting in October 2019
• Supporting the learning of pupils across all subject areas
• Delivering pre-set work and leading classing in the absence of teachers
• Earn up to £350 per week depending on experience
• Gain invaluable experience towards teaching training applications.
• Must have transferable experience working within secondary education

This position is the ideal opportunity to gain the necessary skills and experience for those considering applying to teacher training courses (PGCE, Schools Direct and Teach First) to further your experience working within secondary schools.

Applicants will ideally have previous experience working within education/with children and will have their own transport to travel to school at short notice, however this is not essential.

Within this role the successful applicants will hold a number of responsibilities including;

• Covering pre-set lessons in the absence of teachers - Pre-set work provided
• Manage behaviour and ensure tasks are completed
• Covering a range of classes in different subject areas with a range of pupils varying in ages (11-16) and ability.

Our client schools are located across Derby and Derbyshire with access from surrounding areas such as Alvaston, Littleover, Etwall and Long Eaton. For non-drivers, the school can be accessed by a number of public transport links from surrounding areas.
