Location: Cardiff and Penarth
Position: Unqualified Support Worker – Special Educational Needs (SEN)
School Type: SEN School catering to pupils aged 3 to 19
Contract: Full-Time, Monday to Friday
Salary: £89.38 per day
Start Date: Immediate start available
Overview:
Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Unqualified Teaching Assistant to join a number of Special Educational Needs (SEN) schools in Cardiff and Penarth. These schools cater to children and young people aged 3–19 with a variety of additional learning needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Responsibilities:

Support classroom teachers in delivering tailored learning to students.

Provide 1:1 and small-group support during lessons and daily routines.

Encourage students’ social, emotional, and academic development.
-
Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Assist with preparing and adapting learning materials.

Work closely with teaching staff and SEN professionals.
Requirements:

No formal qualifications required.
-
Enchanced Child and Adult DBS (Teaching Personnel can help you obtain this)
- Safeguarding Level 2 (Teaching Personnel can help you obtain this)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
