This role is ideal for anyone considering a future career in education, psychology, social care, youth work, or therapy.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting pupils with a range of additional learning needs both inside and outside the classroom.
- Helping adapt activities to suit individual learning styles and abilities.
- Promoting emotional wellbeing, confidence, and independence.
- Building positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
- Assisting in creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.
- Celebrating student progress and contributing to meaningful outcomes every day.
Who We're Looking For
You don't need previous classroom experience- we're looking for the right attitude above all else.
You'll be:
- Passionate about supporting children and young people with ALN.
- Patient, caring, and able to build positive relationships.
- Adaptable and resilient in a fast-paced environment.
- Calm under pressure and able to provide consistent support.
- A strong communicator with a proactive approach to learning.
- Personal experience supporting those with ALN
Requirements:
- Enhanced Child and Adult DBS on the Update Service (support available if needed).
- Registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) or willing to register.
- Full UK driving licence and access to transport, or willingness to travel across Cardiff and surrounding areas.
Why This School?
This exceptional SEN provision has built a reputation for delivering outstanding support to pupils and creating an environment where both students and staff can flourish.
You'll be joining a school that:
- Puts wellbeing and inclusion at the heart of everything it does.
- Invests heavily in staff development, training, and mentoring.
- Offers specialist resources and expert support teams.
- Encourages collaboration, innovation, and professional growth.
- Provides a warm, welcoming culture where every team member is valued.
The leadership team is committed to helping staff develop their skills and progress their careers, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain valuable experience in the education sector.
