A calm and patient approach, confidence in working across key stages, and strong relationship-building skills are key. The ability to remain composed under pressure and apply effective de-escalation techniques will be vital in supporting pupils emotionally and academically.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who wants to make a genuine difference in a young person’s life!
Who We’re Looking for?
- Experience supporting children, young people, or individuals with Special Educational Needs (SEN) or Additional Learning Needs (ALN) in education, care, youth work, coaching, residential, or community settings.
- Relevant qualifications or studies are desirable, including SEN, Childcare, Education, Psychology, Health & Social Care, Youth Work, or similar subjects.
- Resilient, patient and understanding attitude
- Support pupils with personal care, mobility, and sensory needs where required.
- Ability to deliver consistent 1:1 and small group support during lessons and daily activities tailored to individual pupil need
- The ability to implement strategies to manage and de-escalate behaviour effectively
