We are currently seeking Tutors who cover a wide range of subject to support students in the Oldham area. This will include providing tuition to pupils on a 1:1 basis, either within the school or in their homes for pupils who are at risk of exclusion and/or with Special Education Needs, along with those who are looked after.
Due to the nature of this position all applicants must have previous experience in a position working closely with young people with barriers to learning, and have previously worked in a teaching or tutoring type role. We would consider applications from recent graduates as they would be given full access to our further development training programmes, making this a perfect opportunity for anybody considering a future in education or are soon to apply for their PGCE or similar teacher training programme.
- Earn up to £25 an hour, dependent on your relevant experience and qualifications
- Access to further development and CPD courses through Teaching Personnel's further learning academy
- Regular and flexible tuition work to fit around your current working or personal schedule
You will be required to monitor the progress of the student and put in new plans for development while relaying reports to the pupil's parents and staff within the school with the aim of raising attainment and promoting academic achievement. With the nature of the work you could be asked to work in a variety of different places including; the pupils home, in school, or in a public place such as a library
