Tutors required in Lancashire area ASAP!
Job description
This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...
Teaching Personnel work with a number of Schools and Care Homes which provide education and support for pupils with a range of needs. The Schools are based in the Lancashire area and most of the Schools provide education for pupils with SEN including; SEMH Difficulties, Autism, ADHD, Challenging Behaviours and Learning Difficulties.
The role of a Tutor can differ from School to School but generally speaking you will be expected to work on a 1:1 basis with a pupil who is not in education for a number of potential reasons. It is likely that you will have to plan, prepare and mark the work for the pupil and liaise closely with the School in question on his/her progress.
The roles available differ in hours, most Tuition roles however are part time and are usually a minimum of 3 days per week. You will be expected to arrange a meet up spot with your pupil and then tutor him or her in the core subjects - help with work will be provided from the School and due to the fact that usually the pupil has additional needs you will need to have an understanding of SEN and strong behaviour management skills.
We are currently looking for Tutors in the Lancaster, Leyland, Chorley, Blackburn and Longridge areas so if you can reach any of these areas please get in touch with Kirsten on 01772 842155 or send your CV
The role generally pays between £11 - 22 per hour dependent on the role, the budget and your experience!
Look forward to working with you!
