TP-Tutors is actively seeking experienced tutors, including retirees, to provide English and Maths tuition in the Callington area located in Cornwall. As a 1:1 tutor, you'll have the opportunity to create tailored catch-up programs for children in care or those currently not attending school.

We understand that retirees bring a wealth of experience and expertise, making them invaluable additions to our team. Whether you're a seasoned educator or recently retired, we welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds and experiences.

This role offers you the flexibility to choose your workload according to your availability, making it an ideal fit for retirees seeking to continue their passion for education without the commitment of a full-time position.

To excel in this role, you'll need:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or equivalent
  • Experience working with either primary or secondary aged children
  • Enthusiasm, engagement, and resilience

Desirable qualifications and experiences include:

  • Previous experience in 1:1 tuition
  • Dealing with challenging behaviours
  • Understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN) or a willingness to learn

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
