Tutor

Date posted : 07/03/19
£15 - £25 per hour

Job description

This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...

Teaching Personnel are recruiting for three separate tutoring roles to start in January 2019, all in the Mansfield area! Please see below for additional details:

  1. Tutor required to work 1:1 with a Year 11 female pupil who requires 6 hours of tuition in the Mansfield area. Ideally the tutor will be able to implement cross-curricular support on a 1:1 basis. The role is short term but we are unsure exactly when the role will be continuing until as it will depend on if the student is accepted into a school placement or not
  2. Tutor required to work at a primary school in the NG19 area of Mansfield with a Looked After Child in Year 4. The child attends school for part of the day and spends the rest of the day with a tutor in the local library, therefore you will need to be confident to plan and deliver work independently. The child can present with challenging behaviour and is extremely anxious so he will need someone who is nurturing in their approach and can build a trusting relationship with him.
  3. Teaching Assistant required to work on a full time basis in a mainstream primary school in the Warsop area (NG20), with a Looked After Child who is in Year 6 . The child is bright and willing to engage in education. He is unable to cope with full time provision but the aim is to place him full time as soon as possible. He can struggle with concentration and is distracted easily. He requires someone extremely resilient and nurturing; he also needs someone who can advocate on his behalf and work closely with the school staff to try and integrate him into the classroom.

For information about these roles, please contact Emma Gale as SOON as possible as we are needing to put support in place for the start of January 2019 so will need to introduce candidates before the end of the school term.
