Maths & English Tutor – Based in Witney

Supporting Primary & Secondary Students | SEN & SEMH Experienced | Face-to-Face Tuition | £20–£30 per hour

Are you looking for a supportive, reliable, and experienced tutor to help your child build confidence and succeed in Maths and English?

Based in Witney, I provide personalised, face-to-face tuition to students from KS1 through to GCSE, designed to meet their individual learning needs, goals, and pace.

What I Offer:

Subject Specialisms:

  • Maths & English – from early primary skills through to secondary level, including GCSE preparation

  • Clear, structured support across key topics, addressing gaps in understanding and building strong foundations

  • Focused exam skills, revision strategies, and confidence-building techniques

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a minimum of 3 years of tutoring experience

  • Strong track record of helping students improve academic performance and self-confidence

  • Up-to-date knowledge of the National Curriculum and current teaching methods

SEN & SEMH Support:

  • Extensive experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (including ASD, ADHD, dyslexia, etc.)

  • Skilled in working with students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs

  • Patient, empathetic approach with strategies to reduce anxiety, improve focus, and create a safe, encouraging learning space

Flexible Face-to-Face Tuition:

  • Lessons delivered at your home, a local venue, or in-school (by prior arrangement)

  • Calm, distraction-free sessions designed to meet your child where they are – academically and emotionally

  • After-school, evening, and weekend availability to fit your schedule

Affordable, Transparent Pricing:

  • Sessions from £20 to £30 per hour, depending on level and location

  • No hidden fees – just personalised, quality tuition that makes a difference

Areas Covered:

Witney, and surrounding towns and villages within West Oxfordshire

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
