SEN Tutor – Wantage (Primary or Secondary) | £20–£30 per hour

Are you an experienced and compassionate SEN tutor looking to make a meaningful impact?

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Tutor to support students in Wantage, working with learners who have a range of additional needs including ASD, ADHD, PDA, and other neurodivergent profiles. This is a flexible and rewarding role, ideal for professionals confident in delivering Maths and English tuition at either primary or secondary level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver one-to-one, personalised tutoring sessions tailored to each student’s unique learning needs.

  • Plan and implement structured schemes of work, adapting lessons to suit SEN learners.

  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies to support ongoing development.

  • Build positive, supportive relationships that help boost student confidence and engagement.

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting students with SEN, especially those with ASD, ADHD, and PDA.

  • Confident teaching Maths and English at primary and/or secondary level.

  • Skilled in assessment, planning, and delivering tailored learning programmes.

  • Patient, empathetic, and able to build trust with learners and families.

  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).

  • Location: Wantage (in-person tutoring)

  • Hourly rate: £20–£30 (based on experience)

  • Flexible working hours – part-time and full-time opportunities available

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
