SEN Tutor – Oxford

Location: Oxford 
Rate: £20–£30 per hour
Hours: Flexible

Are you an experienced tutor who is passionate about supporting students with Special Educational Needs? We are seeking a dedicated SEN Tutor to work with learners in the Oxford area.

About the Role

  • Students: Children and young people with SEN, including ASD, dyslexia, ADHD, and more
  • Delivery: In-person, 1:1 or small group sessions
  • Subjects: Across the curriculum, tailored to individual needs

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess students' individual learning profiles and barriers
  • Plan and deliver bespoke schemes of work
  • Create engaging, inclusive, and supportive learning environments
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to suit diverse learning needs
  • Monitor and report on progress, celebrating achievements
  • Liaise with families and professionals as needed

About You

  • Essential:

    • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or minimum 3 years’ tutoring experience
    • Proven experience working with students with ASD, dyslexia, ADHD, and other SEN
    • Ability to assess, plan, and deliver tailored learning sessions
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Patient, adaptable, and committed to making a positive impact
  • Desirable:

    • Experience in specialist or alternative provision settings
    • Up-to-date knowledge of SEND best practice

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
