Job description
Job Title: Specialist Tutor – Oxford (1:1 Support)
Location: Oxford
Pay: £20 - £30 per hour
About the Role:
We are looking for dedicated tutors to work alongside local authorities and schools in Oxford, providing 1:1 support to students with a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, Emotional Based School Avoidance (EBSA), Looked After Children (LAC), and more.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver personalised 1:1 tutoring sessions tailored to individual student needs

Collaborate closely with local authorities and school staff to ensure cohesive support

Assess student abilities and design bespoke schemes of work

Monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly

Provide encouragement and guidance to help students overcome barriers to learning
Requirements:
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a minimum of 3 years tutoring experience

Experience supporting students with complex needs such as ASD, ADHD, EBSA, LAC
-
Strong skills in assessment, planning, and delivering tailored educational programmes
-
Ability to work independently and as part of a wider support team

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
