1:1 Tutor Required – Towcester

Are you an experienced teacher looking for a flexible and rewarding role?

TP Tutors, part of Teaching Personnel, is seeking passionate and experienced 1:1 Tutors to provide personalised tuition to pupils across Towcester and the surrounding areas. Tuition sessions are delivered in pupils' homes or school settings during school hours, helping young people overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with pupils who may be out of mainstream education, have SEND or SEMH needs, or require additional academic support through tailored one-to-one teaching.

Your Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, personalised 1:1 tuition tailored to each pupil's learning needs.
• Plan and adapt lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
• Support pupils in improving academic attainment, confidence, and engagement with learning.
• Monitor, assess, and record pupil progress after each tuition session.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, parents/carers, schools, and local authorities.
• Create a safe, supportive, and encouraging learning environment.

Requirements

We are looking for candidates who have:

• A minimum of two years' teaching experience in a school or educational setting.
• Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum.
• Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
• The ability to differentiate teaching to meet individual learning needs.
• A patient, reliable, and adaptable approach.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable due to travel between tuition locations.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
