Job Title: KS3 SEMH Outreach Tutor

Job Duties:
- Provide outreach tutoring in English and Maths to Key Stage 3 students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
- Create individualised learning plans to support the academic progress of students
- Deliver engaging and interactive lessons that cater to the specific needs of each student
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, adapting teaching methods as necessary
- Collaborate with school staff and parents to ensure a holistic approach to student support
Required Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Specialist knowledge in teaching English and Maths at Key Stage 3 level
- Experience working with students with SEMH needs
Education:
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
Experience:
Previous experience working as a tutor or teacher in a similar setting
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong understanding of SEMH and how it impacts learning
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to tailor teaching methods to meet individual student needs
- Organisational skills and ability to maintain accurate student records
- Training in behaviour management techniques
Working Conditions:
- Part-Time hours, temporary position
- Work primarily in learners homes, local libraries or schools
- Collaborative work with school staff, parents, and external agencies

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
