The Role

As a 1:1 Tutor, you will deliver tailored lessons to students based on their individual learning needs. You will support them in building confidence, improving subject knowledge, and achieving their academic goals.

Location

Tutoring sessions will take place in person at learners’ homes, schools, or local libraries across Northampton, depending on individual needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality 1:1 tutoring sessions tailored to each student
• Support students in Maths, English, or Science (up to GCSE level)
• Identify learning gaps and create personalised lesson plans
• Encourage confidence, motivation, and positive study habits
• Provide feedback on student progress when required

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years’ tutoring or teaching experience in the UK
• Strong subject knowledge in Maths, English, or Science
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
• A genuine passion for supporting students and helping them succeed
