Job Title: 1:1 Tutor (Home & School Settings)

About the Role
We are seeking dedicated and passionate 1:1 Tutors to support pupils in both home and school settings across the Northampton area. This role involves delivering personalised, engaging lessons to students who may require additional support outside of a mainstream classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver tailored 1:1 lessons in line with each pupil’s needs and abilities
Adapt teaching strategies to support different learning styles
Support pupils with SEND, SEMH, or those out of mainstream education
Monitor progress and provide regular feedback
Liaise with schools, parents, and other professionals

Requirements

Experience in tutoring or teaching
Good understanding of the UK curriculum
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule

Desirable

Teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent)
Experience working with SEN/SEND or vulnerable learners
Background in alternative provision or outreach tutoring

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
