Tutor required in Mansfield(NG21 postcode) ASAP!

Teaching Personnel are looking for a tutor in Mansfield to work with a Year 9 male LAC student, who has complex needs and and Education, Health and Care Plan. We are looking for someone to implement positive activities with a focus on engagement through relationship building.

We are looking for someone to work with this young person for as many hours as possible (maximum 25 per week). The Local Authority are supporting to try and get him into an Group Provision but tutoring will be needed until a place is found.

The tuition will take place in the children's residential home and the tutor will be expected to plan and deliver all of their own resources.

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Resilient
  • Extremely nurturing and able to offer pastoral and academic support, including emotional and pastoral support
  • Experienced at delivering 1:1 or small group tutoring for vulnerable pupils
  • Knowledgeable and experienced working with LAC students
  • Dedicated to going the extra mile for this student and committed to supporting him
  • Able to use our feedback and attendance portal, LEAP on a daily basis
  • Have taught or tutored KS3 before
  • Confident dealing with safeguarding issues should they arise (tutors will be expected to complete Safeguarding training if you don't already have a certificate)
