Job Title: Tutor

Location: South West England, Dorset, Dorchester

Job Duties:

  • Deliver engaging and effective tutoring sessions to students
  • Develop and implement tailored lesson plans based on students' needs
  • Provide constructive feedback and support to enhance student learning
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly
  • Collaborate with colleagues and parents to ensure student success

Required Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree in Education or related field
  • Teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, etc.)
  • Proven experience in tutoring or teaching

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of educational principles and practises
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs
  • Organisational and time-management abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Education or related field
  • Experience working with diverse student populations

Working Conditions:

  • Educational setting/student's home/public community setting
  • Flexible working hours, both inside school timetable and evening schedules available
  • Interaction with students and parents on a daily basis

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
