Job Title: GCSE Tutor

Location: South West England, Dorset, Verwood

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated GCSE Tutor to join our team in Verwood, Dorset. As a GCSE Tutor, you will be responsible for providing high-quality academic support to students preparing for their GCSE exams. This role is part-time and offers a competitive hourly rate.

Job Duties:

  • Deliver engaging and effective tutoring sessions to GCSE students in various subjects
  • Assess students' learning needs and develop personalised learning plans
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to enhance their academic performance
  • Create a supportive and encouraging learning environment
  • Stay up-to-date with the GCSE curriculum and exam requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject
  • Demonstrated experience in tutoring or teaching GCSE students
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students

Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:

  • Experience in delivering educational content to secondary school students
  • Knowledge of assessment methods and exam preparation techniques
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning styles

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education or relevant field
  • Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds
  • Familiarity with online tutoring platforms

Working Conditions:

  • Part-time hours, flexible schedule
  • Work in a classroom or one-on-one setting
  • Potential for remote tutoring opportunities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
