Job description

Job Title: 1:1 Tutor – Home & School Settings
Location: Daventry Area
Hours: Flexible – During School Hours
Pay: Competitive Rates (Depending on Experience)

About the Role

We are currently seeking dedicated and passionate 1:1 Tutors to support pupils in the Daventry area within home and school settings during school hours. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on students who require additional academic support outside of mainstream classroom environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver personalised 1:1 tuition tailored to individual student needs
  • Plan engaging lessons in line with the UK curriculum
  • Support pupils with varying abilities, including SEND and SEMH needs
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and schools
  • Monitor and report on student progress

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of UK teaching or tutoring experience
  • Good understanding of the UK curriculum
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
  • Reliable, patient, and professional approach

Desirable

  • QTS or relevant teaching qualification
  • Experience working with SEN/SEND students
  • Background in alternative provision or outreach tuition

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
