Job description

Job Title: Outreach Tutor

Location:

East of England, Essex, Chelmsford

Job Type:

Temporary, Part-Time hours

£20 - £30 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Provide English and Maths tutoring to Key Stage 3 students
  • Deliver engaging and interactive lessons tailored to each student's needs
  • Assess students' progress and provide feedback on their performance
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborate with teachers and parents to ensure student success
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance and progress

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching English and Maths at Key Stage 3 level
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience at Key Stage 3 level

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the Key Stage 3 English and Maths curriculum
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet individual student needs
  • Proficiency in using various teaching strategies and resources
  • Excellent classroom management skills
  • Experience working with students with diverse learning needs

Working Conditions:

  • Part-Time hours, flexible schedule
  • Work in a learners home or local library
  • Travel to student's homes and other locations for outreach tutoring

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
