Job description

Job Title: KS3 Intervention Tutor

Location:

East of England, Essex, Chelmsford

Job Type:

Temporary, Part-Time hours

Job Duties:

The KS3 Intervention Tutor will be responsible for providing specialised support and guidance to Key Stage 3 students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Duties include developing tailored lesson plans, implementing effective teaching strategies, assessing student progress, and collaborating with other educators and support staff to address individual learning needs.

Required Qualifications:

- A relevant teaching qualification

- Experience working with SEN students

- Strong knowledge of the KS3 English and Maths curriculum

Education:

A degree in Education or related field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably with SEN students

Knowledge and Skills:

- Excellent understanding of SEN interventions

- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Proficiency in using various teaching resources and technology

Preferred Qualifications:

- Additional SEN training or certification

- Experience working in a similar role within a school setting

Working Conditions:

This role involves working in students homes or local libraries. The tutor may need to adapt to different learning environments and collaborate with school staff and parents to support student progress.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
