Job description

Job Title: Tutor

Location: East of England, Bedfordshire, Bedford

Salary: £25.00 - £30.00 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Deliver high-quality one-to-one tutoring sessions to students
  • Develop personalised learning plans based on individual student needs
  • Provide academic support and guidance to help students achieve their learning goals
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance

Required Qualifications:

  • Hold a relevant teaching qualification
  • Demonstrated experience in tutoring or teaching
  • Strong subject knowledge in the area of tutoring

Education:

  • A degree in a related field (e.g., Education, English, Maths, Science)

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of tutoring or teaching experience

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual students
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Passion for education and helping students succeed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education or relevant subject
  • Experience working with students with diverse learning needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
