Full Job Description
We are currently seeking a dedicated and adaptable 1:1 Tutor to support pupils across the Kettering area. This role involves delivering personalised tuition either within school settings or in pupils’ homes during school hours.

This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who are passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver tailored 1:1 tuition sessions based on individual learning needs
Support pupils in core subjects such as English, Maths, and/or Science
Adapt teaching approaches to suit a range of abilities, including SEN
Build positive relationships to boost pupil confidence and engagement
Monitor progress and provide regular feedback
Follow safeguarding and compliance procedures at all times

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years’ UK teaching or tutoring experience
Good understanding of the UK curriculum (Primary and/or Secondary)
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Strong communication and organisational skills
Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule

Desirable

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or currently completing a PGCE
Experience supporting SEN pupils or those with additional needs
Subject specialism in English, Maths, or Science
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
