Trainee Teaching Assistant

WHERE: Secondary school in Newport

WHEN: September Start

The head and Governors of our client secondary school are looking to recruit a teaching assistant in Newport who can work full time in September. The hours are flexible to suit your needs. Experience as a teaching assistant is desirable but not essential as we will consider any experience working with children or in care role. Your personality and attitude is the main factor when choosing the correct candidate for the position. A minimum of core GCSE's is required.

The job as a teaching assistant consists of working 1:1 and in small groups with children with either challenging behaviour or special educational needs. You will build a rapport with the child in order to gain their attention and help them focus on the work, aiding their learning.

The pay is £57 to £65 per day and there is potential for a permanent position.

Interviews will be held from July 2nd on wards
