Trainee Teacher – Macclesfield

Teaching Personnel are recruiting on behalf of a client school in Macclesfield for a number of graduates to join their teacher training programme.

As a result of the excellent client relationships Teaching Personnel have with a number of teacher training schools across South Manchester, we have developed a three year teacher training programme helping graduates develop a career in education by providing full training to get to achieve qualified teacher status.

The course is split into 3 years:

Year 1:

You will work within one of our client schools as a full time, paid teaching assistant. As a Teaching Assistant you will be supporting the main class teacher with handing out work, supporting students with 1:1 and small group assistance and helping prepare the lesson. This provides an excellent opportunity for graduates looking to build a career in education with flexible, classroom experience.

Year 2:

In the second year you will complete you teaching training, working school direct within our client school. This will include teaching classes across KS3/GCSE, shadowing Fully Qualified Teachers and providing dedicated intervention support.

Year 3:

In the third and final year you will complete your NQT year within the school, teaching your chosen subject and becoming a more independent professional within the school. After this year you will be a fully qualified teacher.

The role will be for immediate start, although it is subject to a DBS check, right to work UK authorisation so relevant documentation must be provided.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
