Trainee SEN Teaching Assistant
Job description
Trainee SEN Teaching Assistant – Milton Keynes
No Experience? No Problem. Your Personality is Your Best Qualification!
Are you looking for a career that actually matters? Do you have a big heart, a lot of patience, and a natural gift for connecting with people? If you’re tired of the 9-to-5 grind and want a role where no two days are the same, we want to meet you!
We are looking for fresh, enthusiastic talent to join our partner schools in Milton Keynes and the surrounding areas. As an SEN (Special Educational Needs) Teaching Assistant, you won’t just be staff—you’ll be a mentor, a cheerleader, and a hero to students who need that extra bit of support to reach their full potential.
Why You’re Already Qualified
You don't need a degree in education to make a difference. We are looking for "people people." If you have experience in any of these areas, you already have the "magic ingredients" we need:
- Care and Support Work: You know how to put others first and provide person-centered support.
- Retail or Hospitality: You’re great with people, a pro at multitasking, and stay calm when things get busy.
- Coaching, Youth Work, or Parenting: You know how to lead, inspire, and set boundaries with kindness.
- Creative Backgrounds: Are you into music, art, or drama? These skills are incredible for engaging SEN students!
- Military or Emergency Services: You’re reliable, adaptable, and great in a team.
Why This is the Best Move You’ll Make
- Great Pay: Earn £93 – £130 per day while you learn on the job.
- The Perfect Work-Life Balance: Monday to Friday (approx. 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM). No weekends, no late nights, and all school holidays off!
- Real Purpose: Forget hitting KPIs; here, your "output" is a child’s smile or a breakthrough in their learning.
- Fast-Track Growth: Start as a trainee and move into a permanent school contract quickly. We invest in your professional development.
- Work Locally: Avoid the M1 chaos—we have roles across Milton Keynes, Bletchley, Newport Pagnell, and Wolverton.
All We Need From You
- A genuine heart for helping children thrive and an empathetic nature.
- High energy and a "can-do" attitude—you’re ready to get stuck in!
- A valid DBS on the Update Service (or the willingness to let us help you apply for one).
- Note: Applicants must be UK residents. Recent arrivals will need a police check from their previous country of residence.
How to Apply:
- Email: Send your CV and a quick "hello" to katarzyna.french@teachingpersonnel.com
- Online: Click the Apply button now!
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQ’s on the Teaching Personnel website for details.
