Temp SEN Teacher in Croydon

Date posted : 05/04/18
£120 - £160 per day

Job description

This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...

Teaching Personnel are currently working alongside a 'Good' Primary School in Croydon, who are on the lookout for an SEN Teacher to start immediately in their ASD Provision, in a mixed year group class.

The school, ideally located near East Croydon Tram stop, is a friendly, caring and inclusive school that strives to provide learning and social opportunities for each child to enable them to succeed academically and socially.

The SEN department and SEN coordinators work closely with teachers and specialists to co-ordinate provision and support for children across the school. Good working relationships are formed with outside agencies, such as Teaching Personnel, who provide a service for children with specific needs.

Special Educational Needs Profiles are reviewed termly with class teachers and the need for further provision is discussed and mapped. This enables the Teacher to identify children early for intervention programmes to be initiated. The mapping of provision enables the Teacher to set targets for children who are identified at different levels of need, or have a statement, and these are shared with parents termly.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and dedicated SEN Teacher, looking for long-term work in a school aspiring to become 'Outstanding' in all areas.

Teaching Personnel are committed to the welfare and safeguarding of all children. In order to work through Teaching Personnel you must:

- Have UK QTS or equivalent.

- Have current DBS on the Update Service or be willing to get one (full assistant provided).

- Be able to provide 2 references covering 6 years.

If you are interested in this position, please contact Claire at Teaching Personnel's Croydon Primary branch on 0208 6052632 or apply directly to this advertisement and we will endeavour to get in contact with you within 24 hours.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
